Safety switches

Purpose

A safety switch lets you loosen one of the game’s protection rules. In the Zorla (Enforce) position the rule is applied to the game. In the loose position the rule is not applied to the game or is only recorded; its raw setting reads “put under observation”, “off” or “disabled”. You change a switch per environment and reversibly, without redeploying the server.

When to use

  • To loosen a protection rule temporarily when it blocks players unfairly.
  • To see that a rule is only being recorded (under observation) and enforce it again.
  • To audit which protections are loose.

Step by step

  1. On each row you see the switch’s name, what it does, its position (Zorla (Enforce), Gözleme alındı (Under observation), Kapalı (Off), Devre dışı (Disabled)), its source and its last change.
  2. To loosen a protection that is in the Enforce position, press Gevşet (Loosen). In the window that opens, read the effect, write your reason and confirm with Gevşet.
  3. To turn a loose protection back on, press Zorla; it does not ask for confirmation.
  4. To return a switch changed from the panel to the deployment default, press Varsayılana dön (Reset to default).

The source badge on the row shows where the switch’s value comes from: panel (you changed it), dağıtım varsayılanı (deployment default) or yalnız dağıtım (deployment only: settings that cannot be changed from the panel). Deployment-only rows are shown read-only.

Note

A change is applied on every server replica within a few seconds at most (the time stated on the page); there is no instant effect or instant push.

Warning

A loose protection means the related rule is not applied to the game or is only recorded. The warning banner at the top of the page says how many protections are loose. A read error never loosens a protection; the page shows an error.

Common situations

SituationWhat to do
There are no buttons and it says “read-only”Only a super admin can change switches; you can read the values.
“Güvenlik şalterleri okunamadı” (Safety switches could not be read)The list could not be loaded. Protections are not treated as loosened; read again with Tekrar dene (Try again).
I see an “Gözlemde” (Under observation) badge on a rule cardThat card’s switch is loose. Turn it back on with Zorla from this page or from the card page on the Rules page.
It changed without asking for a reasonThe Force and Reset to default buttons do not ask for a reason; a fixed reason such as “operator set the switch to Enforce (panel)” is written to the audit record.
